After the recent market girations I was very interested to see what the headlines over the weekend would be. Coining the term Fear Fanning (FF) or Descriptive (D) here are a few with my estimate:
Weekend Headlines
From my local Dallas Morning News : Slight FF
“Dow Plunges as Fear Multiply”
New York Times : Vague FF
“Economic Shifts in U.S. and China Batter Markets”
Wall Street Journal : Light FF
“U.S. Markets Tumble as Fear Spreads“
South China Morning Post (Google News) : Heavy FF
“Fear grips markets as investors worry about China’s growth and US profits”
Financial Times : Winner Descriptive (D)
“Argentina effect hits emerging currencies”
Be Careful with Our Intake!
Headlines control us more than we think and often cause the wrong reaction at the incorrect time. Let’s all keep an eye on our intake, after all we have only had about a 3% correction!
Have a Good Monday!
