Double Identity Theft Week — Friday

We warned of cyber threats… and well… we have two confirmed cases in the last 10 days…with one being….you guessed it…yours truly !

Identity Theft – AGAIN

From the field, a call was received that a large bank breach allowed a contacts information to be used and identity theft was the culprit. Interestingly the thief actually showed up to a bank with a Drivers License that had the thief’s picture but fraudulent identity information… Wow!

After a call to my cell phone from an unknown number — A Credit Union in New Jersey… with suspicion that I did not open an $11k line of credit to transfer two $5k credit cards into it… A quick call back, and no harm was done… Yes, my identity had been stolen once again….

Better than a weapon stuck in my face! Modern day theft.

An article is born…look for a complete template on what to do when your identity is stolen soon….

It is a Friday … heading into a Summer Weekend… Enjoy !

Stay cool and … talk to you next week!
