Mother Nature FLEXES her Muscles – High Deductible Pre-View – Friday

With a crew that absolutely loves the outdoors – beach, mountain, desert … heck they might even like a rainforest (never been with the whole gang.) Mother Nature has an influence on our lives.

We wish the best for those in the mighty Mother’s path. With the most visible storm making landfall to our friends on the mid eastern coast line, and one of our far west states/islands are also dealing with her muscle flexing….

High Deductible Preview

Next week we continue our found series (PLUP, Emergency Fund-) with the last depending part, the High Deductible. Thanks for all the responses, we have greatly enjoyed sharing and will have full versions in the coming Q4 Newsletter.

Of course it’s a Tennis weekend, but long time followers will be surprised to know this weekend unusually includes little Brother in a Sunday match while older sister watches and gives important advice…..

Hurricane’s go away … Friday

It’s hard the believe the pelting the Caribbean is taking with yet another strong Hurricane, Maria! It is hurricane season, but ease up a little please…Hurricane

Next week as the quarter ends, we will preview several valuation charts that may give you pause, especially after the long happy run many assets have had over the last decade (post Great Recession.)

Today is a Friday and later today a fun tennis Dad Daughter weekend out of town is on the calendar (actually 5 of the 6 next weeks, only two out of town.)

Text at your own risk in Texas … Now Illegal as of Sept 1 – Safe wishes for those in front of Irma

The data is clear, texting is a distraction … heck even talking on the phone while driving can be dangerous.

As of September 1, 2017, this bill made texting and driving illegal in the state of Texas.

While hard to enforce, it is a step in the correct direction. The penalties are not strict at this time, but a ticket is a ticket.

Washington was the first state to ban texting in driving in the year, 2007 YEP, 10 years earlier.

Currently there are 47 states that have made it illegal to text and drive. No idea.. Wow!

This is one of the reasons I love doing this blog for everyone, I had no idea that 46 states had already banned texting!

Best wishes to all of those who are in front of this sudden second major hurricane! After speaking at length yesterday to many in Florida … it’s going to be very tough no matter the outcome, be safe and best wishes. Our friends in Puerto Rico avoided the worst, we hope our Floridian family and friends do as well…
