Electronic Payment of ES Taxes

Here is the IRS tax website link, which is very easy to make electronic estimated taxes. Be sure to follow the instructions carefully as there are a lot of different options for making payments to taxes, and be sure to carefully enter your personal information so the IRS knows it’s you.

We recommend you do this electronically if at all possible….

If you really need to pay via paper…

For those that do not recall all of the worry over Y2K – the turn of the century that was alleged going to cause all computers to break, leading to water, power, and entire city lock downs… allegedly…

As most of you may or may not know because it was such a yawner and no problems… it went off without a hitch…

Schwab Merger goes GREAT

As mentioned here, Donald the Brain was on call and handled the review a few hours early on Sunday … The websites came up hours early for Donald and almost 24 hours early for everyone else… not that we were checking, but we were…ha

Most all of the very minor hiccups so far are related to Account Linking/Viewing…. And those are mostly related to differing Main Social or Tax ID numbers … We are working through these, but rest assured we see EVERYTHING from our perch just fine and have access to all the money movement we have before…yay

Let us know if you have not already and are in the camp above… we are learning/Fixing as we find the ones that are missing…

With 7000 advisors and 3 millions accounts, a win… in our eyes…

Did We Tell You Donald The Brain is at it Again?

Long time followers know that Donald has been an integral part of some of the very sophisticated software used by us, our Platform Vendor (TDAmeritrade – soon to be Schwab) and many fellow professionals ….

While he may be giving up some of his well earned weekend – Sunday over labor day – it is an honor and a privilege and somewhat comforting to know he may be one of the very few, if not only actual advisor running his specialty knowledge of the afore mentioned software to make sure it is working for all of the new larger Schwab !

Nice to be asked- With three little ones (getting bigger by the day) we appreciate his possible weekend sacrifice, as many who likely have no idea, are likely to benefit…. Good Carma – stuff here!!

Ahhhh…but that is all next weekend…

Today is a One Last Friday BEFORE the last Friday of unofficial Summer…. Enjoy and spend time with those special… it goes fast!

Fantastic Client Questions on the TDAmeritrade Charles Schwab Merger … Friday

Thank all of you for great questions concerning the TDAmeritrade Charles Schwab merger, again happening over Labor Day Weekend, September 5, 2023!

As usual, you guys (clients) have done a spectacular job of asking terrific questions… In a hunch that many may also have similar questions, we wanted to go over the repeats here for everyone… thanks again!

  • This merger effects our (J.K. Financial, Inc and the Gang and You) in no way! We are not going anywhere and have all the same capabilities… yay.
  • While you may have received emails, paperwork and correspondence (legal stuff), there may be more… NO ACTION needed! yay
  • This was only a merger of two financial companies (vendors to be exact i.e. Platforms for handling financial assets), not instigated by us.
  • A new on line portal will be used and new account numbers issued (bet you cannot name either of these of the top of your head now? being silly, but serious too!) We will be all over everyone on theses as they are made available…
  • Monthly deposits and draws will remain the same and all instructions will be the same! yay
  • Of course there may be hiccups, there always are, but as you guys know, we are on it and will get any problems fixed .. FAST!

As a side and likely comforting note, this week we began seeing accounts from both sides of the table….. not taking anything for granted and very pleased with the process!

Ahhhh….but today is a Friday, heading into another Wonderful Weekend… take time to enjoy and breath the fresh air if the feelings fit!

DOJ Approves Merger, Great News for The Brain …. Sports is starting (Big Weekend) …. Shark Week begins too … Travels … Friday

As mentioned here, TDAmeritrade and Charles Schwab agreed to merge early on in the year, (wow that seems like a long time ago- digressing) and due to government regulations, the DOJ (Department of Justice) needed to bless the deal – antitrust thoughts – too big, monopoly questions … it was on hold!

Good News …. the deal was approved, and even better news for The Brain, as noted here and here, is an expert with a very special portfolio management and trading technology, which the combined companies announced this week would be a part of the new joint effort.

Not only that, but The Brain is already a part of a new Beta group, which had gone silent… (likely to start up again) to integrate even more features which The Brain will be a major advisor….

Well Done Donald!

Sports Starts = A Full Weekend! Golf, Basketball, Baseball, Football

Long time followers know, that while the family is a total Tennis nuts and crazy family, your’s truly was a collegiate golfer, helping pay for three years of college via scholarships.

This weekend, a Major Championship on the favorite West Coast time makes for the perfect late evening … Sunday night viewing of the final nine of the Tournament.

Basketball (NBA) continues it’s fast tracking season with only a few more games until the abbreviated playoffs.

But don’t stop there …. Baseball (MLB) after a few scares, missed games due to infections and paused events, seems to be back on track….

NFL  …. professional football start more workouts in full force too !

Sunday night, hopefully just after a fantastic final Golf Championship concludes,  a family favorite begins…

Break in, coincidence or not? – After a few years of moving to earlier calendar (family dislike) it is now back to early August – Ok … digressing again…

Discovery Channels Shark Week commences at 8 PM Central Sunday Night and airs until the following Sunday….

In a hitting home on some programs … Jen at the office mentioned an unusual occurrence in her home town of Long Island, that we both think are a part of the special…

Earlier this week a formal announcement of our Vendor/Platform – TDAmeritrade being acquired by Charles Schwab – deal to close second half of 2020 if all goes well!

We expect no significant changes for any of us, and would add additional resources will be available to us after the merger – We have been asking for advanced Banking Services for some time… likely will be a result of the merger!

Can you hear new 1 Minute “How To” Videos in the works??

Should be fun as we always like new technologies and resources!

Now to our regularly schedule program….
