Our Goals Template … So Simple You Might Like it (KISS) …

This time of the year garners, new years resolutions, new goals, and all kinds of wonderful ideas for improvement in ourselves ….

Our Secret for Goals – KISS

Over the years, we have used huge, almost unlimited goals (you can insert New Year’s Resolutions here if you want) worksheets, templates, questionnaires and the like… only to be disappointed in short order, because they were so overwhelming, we couldn’t possibly meet the challenge….

KISS – Keep it Simple Silly

Shhh, don’t tell anyone, we have found a simple secret that has been working for us ….

Everyone at the office and the homestead have to participate… yes even the 13 year old…

So simple, but effective…

Tell me the at least three items you are most proud of in the past year and at least three that need improvements…

At the office we do a professional and personal version… do as many as you like, but the simplicity and positive tone seems to give it legs… at least for us!

Have a Great “Easy Goal Setting” Day!

The New Year’s Resolution … With a Twist for Fun!

Once upon a time I used to scoff at New Year’s resolutions. I have goals, and being a list person, tons of them … all around (maybe too many? haha).  A few years ago, I stumbled on to a neat interactive way to share and have fun with those sometimes stodgy New Year’s Resolutions!

Fun twist with New Year’s Resolutions

Grab a family member, friend, spouse, or other and challenge each other(s) to a few New Year’s Resolutions, but with a twist.New Year's Resolutions

Here is what I have been doing the last few years:

  1. List three of your most proud items over the LAST year
  2. Three items you could improve on
  3. Three items you want to achieve in the next year (traditional resolution)

That’s it … easy as can be…oh, and if you want to REALLY have fun, make a note for some time around fourth of July (middle of the year) to check your progress. This time next year, you will be in the swing of a fun, easy resolution, but with a fun twist.

Have a great day!

Half Way Through 2014 … Are you where you want?

Today is the last day of the quarter and the half way point of the year. While it has gone extremely fast, and with this week being a holiday shortened July 4th week, take a moment to reflect.

end of the Second Quarter 2014: Middle of Year

So if you are like me, a new year’s resolution list makes its way to your sights at the turn of the year. With today being the half way mark, take a moment to dust off those goals. If you did not have a resolution list, take 15 minutes and reflect on the goals, values, and achievements you most certainly had during the holidays. Ask yourself …  “Am I headed the correct direction?”

Are you where you want?Half Way

My bet is yes, so pat yourself on the back and enjoy the holiday shortened week.

If you slipped a little, be it finances, attitude, time management, friendships, weight, relationships, or ANYTHING …. not to fret … it’s only the half way point of 2014. This is your gentle reminder to make those goals more of a priority.

Let us know if we can help … We greatly enjoy being accountable for you !!

Have a great Monday.
