Making ¢ents out of the senseless Capital Markets
President’s Day Holiday Honored Monday, Feb. 16, 2009
Monday, Feb. 16, 2009, Equity and Fixed Income Market will be closed in honor of President’s Day.
Friday, Fixed Income markets will close early and many traders will depart for a much-needed long weekend. Many times a holiday-lengthened weekend results in low trading volume across all markets on the Friday before; and we would expect this to be true on this holiday. This does not necessarily mean markets will not move greatly; only the true direction of the markets can be exaggerated by a few small players.
Our office will be closed on Monday as well. JK
