Posturing for Friday Option Expirations
This Friday marks option expiration for various instruments within the capital markets.
Option expiration is a regular monthly event and usually results in extremely high market volume and capital markets captivated by stock prices gravitating to option strikes. The summer lower volume we have been experiencing as of late may make for an interesting Friday market movement.
We will be watching with interest Friday’s expiration but sense due to the summer season many investors are already posturing for the expiration. This may result in dicey market movement throughout the week and into Friday, rather than just a jittery Friday. JK
