Merger Monday’s Again–Maybe
The early part of the week has proved to be interesting the last several weeks as mergers have become a regular occurence.
Way back on January 6 2009, we posted a blog 2009 Key Market Items to Watch for this year. We outlined four major points to keep an eye on for the healing of the capital markets.
Point 2, was related to mergers. Over the last several weeks we have seen mergers of rather large magnitude. Many household names are searching for acquisitions that will enhance their revenue portfolios. This is very positive for the markets in our opinion as companies gain confidence in the future and open their wallets in anticipation of possible opportunities as well as future stability.
Let’s see if Merger Monday’s will continue, we only have to wait one business day!
