Yesterday afternoon during a three-hour stretch, the investment conference I am attending opened with a detailed review of various valuation techniques. Specifically focusing on Economic Margin, a combination of Income Statement and Balance sheet analysis with adjustments made for outside enterprise funding. Economic Margin is the basis for the Applied Finance Group’s valuation methodology.
As a 10+ year client of the Applied Finance Group, it is always a good review and dig deep into the basis of the analysis before moving on to higher levels of portfolio management.
This is my first stay at the Encore and first time back to Las Vegas in more than 3 years. Surprisingly, it is very busy, filled with people of various ages and geographic locations, a possible positive for consumer spending and sentiment in the future.
