T – Time (settlement time) as of today on many items is two business days, for the record down from three not too long ago, but a far cry from the one day, which with today’s technology seems easily doable.
Good news, as of next week, everything will be ready one business day later. While the example below is the many items affected the more important item for many is that “T plus one” will now allow funds to be distributed if needed the next day.
It is literally amazing how many times an urgent need to transact money movement on or around the weekend, not to mention a Holiday Weekend, which is coming up one week from today! This change makes these unusual needs easier to navigate! Whew….
Bottom line, money will move faster now! Which when we least expect it can be a delightful surprise!
