Making ¢ents out of the senseless Capital Markets
Quadruple Options Expiration + Summer Friday = Lot’s of Noise but No Music
With the summer doldrums in full force and many professionals out of the office, today being multiple options expiration, along with no foreseeable earnings or company conferences near, we would suspect possible dramatic movement with no meaningful results this summer Friday, June 18, 2010.
Summer marks the days of lighter trading volumes in the capital markets, both domestic and international. Add an empty company reporting and conference season. Pour on Quadruple options expiration, and you get, in our opinion, lot’s of noise but no music in today’s market movements.
Our goals for days like today, watch closely, but rarely take any action.
Have a Good Summer Friday, maybe I will have a review of Toy Story 3 soon, as the newness of the beach has worn off, here in Florida!
