The Emergency Fund, A personal story Part 1 of 2 … The expensive Dinner ….

The second Saturday night of January 2024, a seemingly harmless night turned into another Emergency fund reminder…

Valet not being a favorite and this long time Mexican food family favorite with a tiny Valet lot, led to the usual and regular parallel parking on the street a block or so away…. of course in the Mrs. Car as hers warms fast and the weather was changing from 70 to 20 overnight….

Due to the afore mentioned weather a dash to the car wash was before dinner was desired, delays in the last minutes thwarted the action…. but all noted the car condition as it was less than clean…

Back to the parking – for the record the spot was carefully chosen as the street is busy (one of many Valet no goers) – after several careful back and fourths the car was parked, close enough to the curb, upon leaving the car had to be moved in order for the prior dropped off passengers to get in AND in between a large moving truck and oversized regular truck…

The next morning it was noted, two panels had been backed into and bruised but not destroyed…. An out of pocket expense for sure…Oh… no note from whoever made contact, taking the high road, we will think the vehicle did not even know the damage was done… Again, no claim, not too much terrible pain…

Thank you Emergency Fund for Taking the stress out!

Have a Great “Emergency Fund Reminder” Day!
