Lost Cell Phone gets replaced using Twitter/X? A personal story of Good Use of Social Media ….

This is certainly not a testament to Social Media… We know there are some really bad uses and habits that can be formed…. BUT to label all Social Media usage bad, would be a mistake in our eyes too!

A seemingly simple two day upgrade of an over six year old iPhone turned terrible when the delivery box of the cell phone was empty. After visiting four different retail stores and literally hours of time on the phone and at the stores … a turn to Twitter/X turned out to be the solution.

A simple tweet to the helpdesk of the vendor garnered a quick response. Not sure if it was a person or not, but in about 24 hours the contact turned into a conversation with someone to identify myself directly, which a few hours later turned into a completed solution…

While I do not post on Twitter anymore I do follow several people and have heard of successful Fixes such as this before.

Guess the real irony of the situation was that yours truly went to Twitter/X not the 16 year old cell less upgraded teenager… “Twitter/X ? Nah he says!”

Have a Great “Not all Social Media is Bad” Day!
