Bottom line – Once the dust settles on the processing, we like taking the $1k jump start for those born 2025-2028 and only this option!
Here are all of the names for these new accounts, just in case you have been confused:
“Trump Accounts, Section 530A Accounts (or 530A IRAs), Individual Retirement Accounts for Minors, Baby IRAs, Kids’ IRAs, Boomerang Accounts, The $1k Seed Accounts, and Form 4547 Accounts.”
Not kidding…so if you were a bit confused, that is why, you are in good company!
On Saturday July 4, 2026 the New Born government donation accounts AKA Trump accounts went live!
These accounts feature a $1k jump start donation from the US Government.

Once funded you can transfer them into an account at the major vendors, like Schwab or the like…but, they must be initially funded directly with the US Government..
At age 18 the child gets the account and it turns into an IRA with basis!
Again, no need to rush out and complete these… just yet!
