Turbo Tax Glitch ? Maybe …
Not sure the market share of Turbo Tax (CNET says 60% of all diy), but it is by far and away the largest singe share of self filers…
We may have discovered a glitch in wording for 529 reconciliation… NOT 100% … but if you are suddenly taxed on your distributions and you did everything correct… WAIT !
Even if everything looks correct, be sure to double check your 1099 Q reconciliations! It is VERY early in the individual tax payers season, lets see if there is an update or clarity !

The first corrected run has occurred and …. wait for it …. there was ONE! YAY!!!

This is really good news, and likely bodes well for the rest of the season… BUT just as mentioned earlier, WAY early in individual tax payers season, we will keep you posted here !
