We softly warned of a Supreme Court negative to Tariffs here and here …. In mid to early January, well in advance, maybe too far, but this process took longer than expected.
Again, this comes from our neutral research partners some of which reside in Washington, but they very much expected this outcome to the tune of 70-80%..
We were somewhat surprised by market reaction, maybe the time delay … more on this shortly.
What is next?
Not being political experts, and fessing up as so – BUT in reading no less than a dozen articles specifically on the subject in the last 48 hours, while many seemed confident in the outcome, their conclusions were all across the board … Polar opposites in some cases!
Most are talking about the possible outcomes of the push back …. gotta get to that point first!

You guys know we watch interest rates like a hawk – in part because they are so important, in part because they tend to be less knee jerk aka “The Smartest Guys in the Room”
Keep an eye on the Longer term 10 Year Treasury, this is likely where the action will be by those calm hands, if any!
