Emergency Fund Part 1 and 2 – Whew – 2 Personal Stories!
Two reminders (personal this time) of why the Emergency fund is just so darn important…
Here in Part 1, the Mrs. Car was smacked, after a careful parallel parking job – high road is that whoever hit did not know….

Tossing Part 1 to the back of the cerebrum, Part 2 – The House is on Fire! – Jumped to the front of the line for thankfulness of the Emergency fund… and a reminder of the need for a good Emergency Fund when also having high deductibles…which we are big fans!

Conference Notes: Private Wealth Texas Forum
Midmonth a slightly less than enthusiastic attendance to an All Day conference was completed…. Thankfully, just like going to the Movie with low expectations, a nice surprise was in store….

Here are the high points from a very large swath of speakers:
Cautious Optimism – Most all speakers were fairly positive, but being actual fellow managers, well aware of the unique economic situation the US Economy is going through and multiple voiced a possible sharp market adjustment due to higher interest rates and Geopolitics
Current loan/Debt Financing – With rates much higher than just 18 months ago, not surprising, a general concern of how commercial loans (3 year terms) will refinance is an unknown concern
Inverted Yield Curve – Only one of the about 20 speakers, brought up the abnormality of the sustained inverted yield curve, and expressed the need for normalcy sooner rather than later, a major concern from our perch…. Has it been so long we have all forgotten?
Unanimous thoughts on Concentration – Being a seasoned group, it was not surprising for the subject matter of concentration of just a few stocks controlling some of the major indexes being an issue… Only one of the speakers embraced with all others warning… Time will tell…
Have a Great Day, Talk to You at the End of March!
