Estate Tax Laws Set to Change – Heads Up
At the end of 2025, putting January 1, 2026 into play, without any tax law adjustments the Estate Tax level will adjust back down to somewhere between a $7 to $8 million or $14 to $16 million for couples level.
While Estate Tax is not a huge revenue earner for the IRS, in our opinion Estate tax is in purpose is to affect the very largest of the states think $100 million and up.
Additionally the IRS is having trouble completing regular federal tax returns, by some estimates some 15 to 20 thousand taxpayers are still waiting on their regular federal returns to be blessed by the IRS from 2020 to present. Lowering the Estate Tax level to an extreme low, while may sound good in the headlines, impracticality, it will likely create a huge bottleneck and more trouble than money earned.

As a “Heads Up” in the Financial world, there is a Bill (Secure Act 2.0 aka HR 2954) going through Congress that is likely to pass before years end … Recall in late December of 2019 Secure Act 1.0 was passed and signed into law, only to be lost in the multitude of laws around the virus and relief…
While not into law yet…. a few high points include:
Another increase in RMD (Required Minimum Distributions) age to 73 – currently age 72
401k and other similar increased contribution levels

We sure enjoyed the first group event as mentioned here…. a whirlwind trip to a higher altitude to share and visit with peers, back office folks…. BUT a requirement of attendance was the delivery of our contact information to the MASSIVE amount of vendors attending the event….
Lots of unfamiliar emails continue to build in the inbox daily…. about a week ago the annual “Unsubscribe” response commenced and already the inbox is feeling less full and less stressed….. Yep sometimes you have to really squint those eyes at the very end of the email, and yep sometimes a frog is kissed and the link goes nowhere….. but keep trying and you will get all of them cleared…..
Nice to have a clear inbox for those New Years Resolutions to commence!
With the turning of the Month to the last one of the year…. Can you guys believe that? Wow…The Newsletter writing begins….
On a personal note, if in a rush, the brain does not seem to be as clear…. the totally opposite of those meeting the constant overnight deadlines… not sure how they do it…
A Modern Monetary Theory is included, something very negatively seen from my perch before, but in trying to view from all angles, worth a detailed review…

With lots of newbies – (thank you very much) – we thought this was just too good to pass up…
Sophia is now 18 and will leave for college next year, Pierce (aka Toothless- 15 … a freshman) …. So this will be our last year for this… most likely………..hmmmmm
This was not edited, just a re-recording as frustration grew… Mother intuition was very clear as a warning was issue prior to the attempted recording…. “This will not go well!” Scripture !

Office Hours – Out this week – Tethered for Emergencies
With all of our Families getting the full week off for Thanksgiving…. the decision was made to let everyone take some much needed R&R this week….
Yours truly is out of town and out of the state, but will be holding the fort down with electronics for any Emergencies that may occur…

The now 15 year old, Pierce, has a great eye for photography…. but a shy personality for taking picture of “Strangers” to him…. everyone at the party were like family of course, but not to him!
The pictures of anyone Pierce did not know, were …. well rough… but those that he did know came out great….and the DMA art, statues and other … we will let you make your own decision…
